NTPC Green Energy Limited Begins Commercial Operation of 66.18 MW Capacity at Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner

10.10.26 – By NewsIP Bureau – New Delhi – NTPC Green Energy Limited subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, has declared the commercial operation of the fourth part capacity of 66.18 MW at the Kalasar Solar Energy Project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This capacity addition constitutes a crucial segment of the 650 MW solar component under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project execution framework. According to official corporate notifications, the commercial operation of this solar unit officially came into effect from 00:00 hours on October 10, 2026, marking a key milestone in scaling up clean power infrastructure across northern India.

Kalasar Solar Energy Project Boosts NTPC Green Energy Group Commercial and Installed Capacity

Following the successful grid integration of this additional capacity in Bikaner, the operational footprint of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group has achieved significant momentum. The total commercial capacity of the corporate group now stands at 11,262.51 MW. This milestone reinforces the organization’s ongoing strategic efforts to feed reliable, zero-carbon electricity into the national transmission grid while reducing carbon intensity and bolstering national sustainable energy goals.

With the commissioning of this 66.18 MW solar operational segment, the cumulative installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group has increased to 11,328.69 MW. As a fundamental component of the 500 MW REMCL Round-The-Clock (RTC) project initiative, the facility supports continuous green power availability. The deployment utilizes high-efficiency photovoltaic infrastructure designed to enhance generation yields and maintain operational stability across changing weather conditions.
