Faridabad, May 30, 2025: Under the guidance of Shri R.K. Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), and Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), a Navratna enterprise of the Government of India, is observing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2025’ from May 16 to May 31, 2025, across its Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Projects, and Power Stations. This initiative is being conducted in accordance with guidelines issued by the Government of India.
On May 30, 2025, a special plantation program titled ‘Ek Pedh – Ma ke Naam’ was organized under Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 at the NHPC Residential Colony in Faridabad, with active participation from senior officials. A key highlight of the event was a street play (Nukkad Natak) on cleanliness awareness, performed by girl students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sarai, Faridabad.
During the Pakhwada, various activities such as cleanliness awareness programs, plantation drives, skit presentations, distribution of cleaning kits, hygiene awareness initiatives, and drawing and painting competitions are being organized by NHPC across all its locations. These efforts are aimed at strengthening corporate social responsibility.
This initiative not only promotes environmental conservation but also underscores NHPC’s commitment to cleanliness and community engagement.
