New Delhi, June 27, 2025: In a significant move to define India’s clean energy future, NHPC Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) have entered into a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). aimed at jointly developing Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs), large-scale hydropower assets, and other renewable energy initiatives—both domestically and internationally.
This MoU isn’t just another agreement—it’s a blueprint for long-term collaboration between two of India’s largest public sector undertakings, with eyes firmly set on next-gen energy solutions, energy security, and strategic decarbonization.
The agreement was signed by Shri Rajat Gupta, Executive Director (SBD&C), NHPC, and Shri Pravin Dongre, Executive Director (SD), IOCL, in the presence of senior leadership from both sides, including NHPC CMD Shri R.K. Chaudhary and IOCL Director (Planning & Business Development) Shri Suman Kumar.
