New Social Organization “ABHA” Formed to Drive Positive Societal Change

Report File by User : In a move inspired by GAIL India Limited’s women empowerment initiative, a group of socially conscious women from diverse parts of India have come together to establish a new social organization. The initiative, named “ABHA: A Blueprint for Hope and Advancement,” was formally launched on August 7 during a meeting aimed at creating a positive impact on society through various endeavors.

This newly formed trust will focus on national and international initiatives in key areas such as education, health, women and youth empowerment, yoga and wellness, environmental conservation, social awareness, and fostering community collaboration. The overarching goal of the organization is to drive positive societal change, uplift the underprivileged, and promote sustainable development through strategic partnerships with global entities like WHO and UNESCO.a

Key Members and Office Bearers

The inaugural meeting saw the participation of prominent women from different regions across India. Noteworthy attendees included Mrs. Sadhana Prajapati from Auraiya, Saloni Goyal and Sangeeta Agrawal from Noida, Dr. Swati Sachin Hivare from Belapur Navi Mumbai, Dr. Sandra Torne from Panvel, Manisha Ramji Gupta from Thane, Dr. Ujjwala Pinjarkar from Nagpur, Dr. Anita Kathuria from Vadodara, Ranjana Prajapati from Yamunanagar, Sonal Namdev from Noida, and Neha Singh from Dehradun.

During the meeting, the trust’s office bearers were elected through unanimous decisions. Mrs. Sadhana Prajapati was chosen as President, Dr. Ujjwala Pinjarkar as Vice President, Sonal Namdev as General Secretary, Ranjana Prajapati as Finance Controller, and various other directors were appointed to oversee different domains such as health, education, community engagement, resource mobilization, yoga and wellness, communication, and sustainable development.

Empowering Through Service and Leadership

Expressing her vision for the newly formed organization, President Mrs. Sadhana Prajapati emphasized, “GAIL ABHA has ignited a new sense of purpose within us. We are committed to channeling this energy towards serving society. ‘ABHA’ will stand as a beacon of hope, self-reliance, and progress.” Similarly, Saloni Goyal, the Director of Yoga and Wellness, highlighted the plans to empower women and youth holistically through practices like yoga, Ayurveda, and life skills.

The meeting also outlined future plans for the trust, including official registration, the launch of a logo and website, forging CSR partnerships, recruiting volunteers, and kickstarting priority projects.
