NBCC Initiates ₹196.98 Crore Development at Central University of Haryana

NBCC (India) Limited has made a notable advancement in improving the educational facilities at the Central University of Haryana. in Mahendergarh by beginning the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for new infrastructural developments. NBCC is overseeing a project valued at ₹196.98 crore, utilizing a Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model.

The event saw the participation of notable dignitaries including Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of CUH, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Suneel Kumar, the Registrar, along with Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, the CMD of NBCC, Shri Rajeev Kumar, the Chief General Manager of NBCC, and other senior officers from both the University and NBCC.

Project Details

The initiative plans to develop six major structures, collectively spanning 41,339 square meters. These structures are intended to bolster the University’s capabilities in academics, research, and student accommodation.

Key Elements of the Development

  • School of Engineering & Technology Block: This building will feature smart classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories, faculty offices, and various academic support facilities.
  • Lecture Hall Complex: Consisting of 16 advanced lecture halls, this complex will be located behind the existing Academic Block–I.
  • Central Instrumentation Centre: A specialized facility aimed at supporting sophisticated research instrumentation and analytical tasks.
  • Computer Centre Building: This will serve as the central IT hub for the university, supporting academic computing and e-governance services.
  • Girls’ Hostel (630 Capacity): A modern, secure residential structure equipped with contemporary amenities to house female students.

Sustainability Initiatives

The development of these facilities will involve the integration of solar energy systems and sustainable building methods, targeting a minimum of a GRIHA 3-Star certification., which underscores the project’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The enhancement of the Central University of Haryana’s infrastructure is poised to significantly elevate the quality of educational facilities. The new buildings will not only improve the learning spaces but also expand the university’s research capabilities and residential offerings, thereby contributing to its mission of fostering academic excellence.
