NBCC Spearheads Eco-Friendly Infrastructure Development at Hindu College

The construction of a state-of-the-art Boys’ Hostel at Hindu College, University of Delhi, marks a significant milestone in NBCC’s commitment to sustainable development. The project, valued at approximately Rs 70 crore, will be built on a Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) basis, incorporating solar power systems and green building features to achieve a minimum GRIHA 3 Star rating.

_Enhancing Student Life and Environmental Sustainability_ The new Boys’ Hostel will boast a built-up area of approximately 1.97 Lakh Sq.ft, featuring modern comforts and amenities, including air conditioning, laundry facilities, and a spacious dining area. The design emphasizes social interaction and exposure to nature, with double-height terraces for trees and a landscaped lawn. The project’s environmentally sustainable features include giant fountains, solar panels, and green roofs, reducing pollutants and carbon footprint while improving air quality. _A Testament to NBCC’s Leadership in Construction_ The project reaffirms NBCC’s role as a leader in the construction sector, dedicated to supporting educational institutions and contributing to their development. The new Boys’ Hostel will significantly enhance campus facilities, increasing capacity to 460 students and featuring a 700-seater auditorium, designed to support the vibrant cultural, entertainment, and academic life of the college.
