Assam : A massive fire is reportedly raging in an oil rig in Geleky, operated by SK Petro Services Private Ltd under ONGC in Sivasagar district of Assam. The fire tenders of ONGC and the district administration have been deployed to douse the inferno. unverified accounts of the local residents suggest that around 15-20 people were working at the site when the rig had caught fire. NewsIP could not contact the owners of the company-SK Petro, which does not have a running website. The reason for the fire is not yet known.
