New Delhi, July 8:The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has announced key policy reforms to accelerate oil and gas exploration under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri confirmed amendments to the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948 in March 2025, followed by new PNG rules. These reforms aim to change business dynamics for E&P and Pipeline operators .
Feedback on Draft PNG Rules, Model Revenue Sharing Contract, and Petroleum Lease is invited by July 17 at png-rules@dghindia.gov.in. Stakeholders will convene at Urja Varta 2025 on July 17 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
