The Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) jointly organized an Interactive Workshop on ‘Treasury and Financial Risk Management of PSEs’. The event was held with the objective of equipping participants with treasury management strategies and effective financial risk mitigation techniques.
The workshop was attended by many senior officials from various CPSEs from across the country. The inaugural session of the workshop was addressed by Mr. Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE; Mr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Director (Finance), GAIL; CA (Dr.) Anuj Goyal, Chairman, Research Committee, ICAI; Mr. Lokesh Kumar Aggarwal, Director (Finance), ITDC & Member, SCOPE Executive Board and Dr. Amit Kr. Agrawal, Secretary, Research Committee, ICAI. The workshop aimed to provide a platform for participants to discuss and learn about the latest trends and best practices in treasury management and financial risk mitigation.
The event covered a range of topics, including cash management, foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk management, and credit risk management. The workshop was well-received by the participants, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and exchange ideas with their peers. The event was a success, and it is hoped that it will contribute to the development of effective treasury management and financial risk mitigation strategies for CPSEs in India.
