Mumbai : In an intriguing development, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between a prominent government entity and a key urban development authority. The signing ceremony that took place on 8th September, 2025 in Mumbai marked a pivotal moment for the entities involved.

Collaboration Unveiled

The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) stepped forward to join hands with the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) based in Maharashtra. This strategic alliance aims to foster a mutually beneficial partnership, with HUDCO pledging to allocate funds amounting to an impressive Rs. 11,300 Crore over a span of five years.

The allocated funds are designated for crucial tasks such as land acquisition, housing projects, and infrastructure development within the Nagpur Metropolitan Region. Moreover, HUDCO committed to offering consultancy services and engaging in capacity-building endeavors to cater to the evolving needs of NMRDA.

The MoU signing ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of notable figures including Shri Devendra Fadnavis, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, the Chairman & Managing Director of HUDCO, along with other dignitaries.
