Ekal Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad organises a special programme ,’ Ekal ke Ram’, presented by poet cum social activist Dr Kumar Vishwas in Delhi on Sunday. Inspired by Lord Ram’s lifestyle in exile, Ekal imparts education to 28 lakh children every year in rural and forests with minimum resources. Lord Ram and his family had developed attraction towards nature and depended on minimum resources for sustainability. ‘One village, one teacher and one school’ is the principle, Ekal follows to impart education to tribal children in forest and interiors. Speaking to newspersons in the Capital on Saturday, Ekal CEO cum secretary Bajrang Lal Bangra said that Ekal has been running schools in more than one lakh villages and imparting education on moral values, health and hygiene. Dr Kumar Vishwas is all set to highlight some excerpts from Ram’s exile which can teach people about the virtues of patience, adaptability and making adjustments in life. The relevance of Lord Ram in the lockdown due to Coronavirus proved extremely beneficial. Dr Vishwas will also highlight Lord Ram’s relevance in today’s context. Ekal Trustee Laxmi Narayan Goel said that Ekal has played a commendable role in creating awareness about coronavirus in tribal areas and started imparting skill development to children from August 2020. Ekal Trustee S K Jindal said world largest NGO’s purpose is making concerted efforts to connect rural and forest areas to mainstream Union Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest at the programme while Yog guru Baba Ramdev will be the guest of honour. The programme will go live on DD Bharti and Sanskar channel from 6 pm to 9 pm. The programme will also be available on the digital platform- Ekal.org
