New Delhi, 21 March 2025 – Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC, has been awarded the CBIP Individual Award for his exceptional contributions to hydropower and renewable energy. With over 36 years of experience, his leadership has driven key projects like Teesta-V (510 MW) and Mangdechhu (720 MW), shaping India’s hydropower landscape.
Additionally, NHPC’s 94.2 MW Tanakpur Power Station in Uttarakhand received the CBIP Award 2024 for “Best Performing Hydro Power Project”, recognizing its operational excellence and contribution to national power generation.
The awards were presented by Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, President, CBIP, during the CBIP Day celebrations in New Delhi. NHPC’s commitment to sustainable and efficient energy solutions continues to set industry benchmarks.
