BPCL Ignites Integrity Drive During Vigilance Week 2025

Mumbai, October 27, 2025 – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a leading Fortune Global 500 oil and gas company, launched its Vigilance Awareness Week today at its headquarters in Mumbai.

The event, marked by the presence of notable dignitaries including Shri Vivek Phansalkar, IPS (Retd.), the former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, and Smt. Meenaxi Rawat, IES, Chief Vigilance Officer of BPCL, emphasized the crucial role of integrity and transparency in corporate governance. During the inauguration, an Integrity Pledge was led by Shri Rajkumar Dubey, Director (HR) of BPCL, underscoring the organization’s dedication to ethical practices.

Smt. Meenaxi Rawat highlighted India’s position on the Corruption Perception Index and stressed the need for ongoing enhancements in accountability mechanisms. She outlined BPCL’s initiatives including the Integrity Club for school children and the recent publication of the Vigilance Case Study Compendium 2025, which are part of BPCL’s efforts to foster a culture of integrity among employees and the broader community. Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing) at BPCL, reiterated the company’s commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all its operations.

The keynote address by Shri Vivek Phansalkar emphasized the importance of individual responsibility and ethical conduct in enhancing societal and national well-being. The event also saw the release of three significant publications aimed at promoting vigilance and integrity: ‘The Case Study Compendium 2025’, ‘Integrity Clubs in Schools: A BPCL Initiative’, and the ‘Vigilance Plus’ quarterly newsletter.

BPCL’s Vigilance Awareness Week, running from October 27 to November 2, 2025, includes a host of activities designed to engage employees and the public in strengthening transparency and ethical conduct across its operations under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”.
