The strategic alliance is part of BPCL’s Project Aspire, which is designed to promote sustainable energy solutions and support the country’s future energy needs. The agreement was signed in Mumbai by top officials from both companies, including Shri Rouf Khan, Chief General Manager – Projects & Marketing, Gas, BPCL, and Shri Sanjay Pandita, Head – Gaseous Fuels, RBML. Key attendees at the signing included Shri Subhankar Sen, Director – Marketing, BPCL, Shri Rahul Tandon, Business Head – Gas, BPCL, Shri Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, RBML, and Shri Akshay Wadhwa, CEO, RBML.

Shri Rahul Tandon emphasized the importance of delivering energy directly to consumers to support the national vision of a gas-based economy. He highlighted that this partnership would accelerate efforts towards achieving this goal. Shri Akshay Wadhwa noted that the high customer traffic at RBML outlets would likely increase CNG sales, further aiding the push towards cleaner energy usage.

The initiative is aligned with the Government of India’s goal to increase the share of natural gas in the country’s energy mix from 6% to 15% by 2030. It underscores the commitment of both BPCL and RBML to foster sustainable mobility and encourage the adoption of more environmentally friendly fuel alternatives throughout India. This partnership marks a critical step forward in realizing these ambitious energy targets.
