New Delhi. (By Z A Ansari) According to sources at NewsIP, the proposal of the Ministry of Power for the re-employment of Shri Gurdeep Singh as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NTPC (India) Limited has been approved by The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Singh is set to continue his role on a contract basis for a period extending one year beyond his superannuation date, starting from August 1, 2025, until July 31, 2026, or until his successor assumes the position, or until further directives are issued, whichever occurs first.
The terms and conditions of his re-employment will be determined by the Ministry in collaboration with the Department of Public Enterprises. This decision underscores the significance of Singh’s leadership and expertise in steering NTPC towards continued success.
His re-appointment reflects a vote of confidence in his capabilities and vision for the organization. As NTPC navigates the dynamic energy landscape, having Singh at the helm ensures continuity and strategic direction for the company.
