New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given the green light to the Ministry of Power’s proposal to appoint Shri Bhupender Gupta as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of NHPC Limited. Gupta, who currently serves as the Director (Technical) at THDC India Limited, will take on the new role for a span of five years.
His appointment will commence on the date he assumes office, and will continue until his superannuation or until further orders, depending on which occurs first.
Shri Bhupender Gupta brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position, having served in a leadership role at THDC India Limited. His appointment is expected to further strengthen NHPC Limited’s position in the power sector.
