Shimla: Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, has announced that the power stations of SJVN have achieved record-breaking energy generation. In August 2023, all power stations generated an all-time high monthly energy generation of 1590 million units, which is a 9% increase from last year.

That the 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station has set a new record by achieving an all-time high monthly generation of 337.165 million units since commissioning. Additionally, the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station and 50 MW Sadla Wind Power Station registered the highest energy generation for August month with 1215.326 million units and 15.938 million units respectively during the current fiscal.
During the first quarter of the current financial year, the total generation from solar and wind power stations of SJVN was 73.04% higher than the corresponding period of last fiscal. Sh. Nand Lal Sharma congratulated all the employees and expressed his gratitude for constant guidance and support to the Union Power Minister, Ministry of Power, and Governments of the States where the power stations are located.
He also stated that since the commissioning of its first power station, the company has sustained an upward growth trajectory while maintaining an uninterrupted energy supply to meet the rising power demands of the nation.
SJVN has set an ambitious target of ‘Mission 12000 MW by 2026’ and ‘Shared Vision of 50000 MW by 2040’ and is marching ahead on its growth journey. The present project portfolio of the company is 55904 MW. To Know About SJVN
