NTPC, India’s leading power utility company, has officially declared the commencement of commercial operation for Unit #3, which boasts a capacity of 660 MW, at the Barh Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-I. The operation started precisely at 00:00 Hrs on July 1, 2025. This significant milestone has propelled NTPC’s total installed capacity to an impressive 60,978 MW on a standalone basis. When considering the group basis, the company’s commercial capacity now stands at a remarkable 82,080 MW. With this latest development, NTPC continues to solidify its position as a key player in the power sector, further enhancing its capabilities to meet the growing energy demands of the nation.
