India and Asia Pacific Nations Join Hands to Protect Human Rights
The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the two-day conference of the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) of Asia Pacific organized by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India. This conference marks an important milestone in the region’s efforts to protect and promote human rights.
In her speech, President Murmu emphasized that India and other countries in the Asia Pacific region have a long history of championing human rights. She highlighted the need for these nations to work together and develop a joint strategy to address the emerging challenges in human rights protection.
