Indian Oil Contributes to New World Record in Road Construction
Laying of 100 lane Kms in 100 Hrs at Ghaziabad-Aligarh Expressways
New Delhi: IndianOil contributed to creating a New World Record in road construction by maintaining uninterrupted supplies of Durapave Bitumen. The remarkable record was created by laying 100 lane KMs in 100 Hrs. at Ghaziabad-Aligarh Expressway. The achievement has been celebrated in a ceremony, which was virtually attended by Shi Nitin J Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India; Gen (Dr.) V K Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, Government of India along with other dignitaries from NHAI, IndianOil, M/s Cube Highways, and M/s Larsen & Toubro Construction.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Nitin Gadkari has said that this expressway will facilitates the movement of goods and contributing to regional economic development by connecting industrial area, agriculture regions and educational institutions. He informed that this Expressways is being constructed using Cold Central Plant Recycling (CCPR) technology that has helped reduce carbon emissions.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Shyam Bohra, Executive Director & State Head, UPSO-II, IndianOil has expressed his happiness to be associated with this remarkable achievement along with M/s Cube Highways and M/s L&T. He shared that 133 Km of roads are being constructed per day using IndianOil’s Durapave Bitumen. He assured that IndianOil is dedicated to meet the requirement of bitumen and other petroleum products to contributes towards Gatishakti Programme in line with our motto “Pehle Indian Phir Oil. He further shared that IndianOil is serving nearly 35 million customers at Retail Outlet per day besides serving families by supplying 26 lacs Indane domestic LPG cylinders per day at their doorsteps.
