10,000 crores is proposed from Australia-GIS-23

Lucknow State : Uttar Pradesh and Australia have a strong partnership in sectors including security, water, agriculture, and the environment. “Certainly, through UPGIS, our economic ties will undoubtedly improve and Uttar Pradesh will advance in terms of overall development,” The Jal Shakti Minister was addressing the Australia Country Partner session held at Bhardwaj Hall of UPGIS. During the session, Swatantra Dev Singh welcomed Barry O’Farrell AO, Australia’s High Commissioner to India.

Our trade is on the rise, and certainly, through UPGIS, our economic ties will get a new lease of life.” Uttar Pradesh is developing quickly under CM Yogi’s direction and stated, “Our government machinery is fully committed to protecting the interests of the investors. Therefore, feel free to invest in UP.”

“For the growth of entrepreneurship in Uttar Pradesh, it is necessary to have transparent policies and better law and order. And in the last few years, a better environment has been created in Uttar Pradesh. Australia may add value to the establishment of a new Uttar Pradesh,” Yogi said.

Discussion on UP’s progress during the session

The subject of “Unlocking New Opportunities for Collaboration between Indian Australian Entrepreneurs” was covered earlier in the panel discussion. Sandeep Bhatia, MD, Country Head India and Head of Equity India, Macquarie Capital, said that the Government of Uttar Pradesh gives respect to every project.

“We anticipate collaborating on numerous projects with the UP government. The infrastructure around here has brought us a lot of conveniences. I believe that the expressways of UP are world-class,” he stated.

Anup Trivedi, MD of Tata Blue Scope Steel, stated, “Our partnership with the Australian company is expanding. Everywhere, including resorts, airports, schools, and stadiums, we are at work. We are pleased to launch our second unit in UP.

Rahul Gautam, Chairman, and MD, Sheela Foam said that the collaboration with the Australian firm marks 50 years. “We were born in UP and today we are expanding to places like Europe, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. Because I am confident that UP and Lucknow can catch up to Australia in the sphere of technology, I advise the people of UP to immediately accept any opportunity for the alliance with Australians and Australians with UP.”

Swapan Johri, Corporate Vice President, HCL Tech, said, “We are associated with Australia as an innovation partner and are helpful in finding design and scope for UP in the areas of water management, quantum technology, cyber security, data and 5G in UP.”
