SJVN employees are voluntarily donating their one-day salary to CM Relief Fund/H.P.Covid-19

(Shimla): COVID-19, a highly contagious disease has engulfed the entire world in its grip. In India, the pandemic is posing severe health and economic challenges with exponential rise in number of cases.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of #SJVN informed that as a responsible Corporate citizen and understanding the seriousness of fight against the COVID-19, the employees of SJVN are voluntarily donating their one-day salary to CM Relief Fund/H.P.Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund amounting to Rupees 44,50,000/- (Forty-Four Lakh Fifty Thousand).
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma informed that in series of steps to support the government in battle against COVID-19, SJVN has contributed Rs. 25,00,00,000/- (Twenty-Five Crore) towards PM CARES fund. He also informed that SJVN has also provided a financial support of around Rs. 2,00,00,000 (Two Crore) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for procuring ventilators, Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs), food, masks, sanitizers and gloves in various hospitals.
Sh. Sharma further informed that, SJVN has always been in forefront in supporting the society and the government for tackling any issues which affect the country or its people. To fight the COVID-19 spread. SJVN has also set up 48 quarantine units in its projects. He further said that SJVN is also extending support for distribution of food and other essential items to the needy.
SJVN employees have also already contributed one day salary to the PM CARES fund to combat the Corona challenge.
