Faridabad, April 15, 2024 : NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company, commemorated the 133rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar with a special program at its Corporate Office in Faridabad.
The event, held on April 15, 2024, commenced with a solemn ceremony where Shri R.P. Goyal, CMD, NHPC, along with Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, and Shri R.K. Chaudhary, Director (Technical & Projects), NHPC, paid floral tributes to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar. They were joined by executive members of NHPC SC/ST Employees Welfare Association and NHPC OBC Employees Welfare Association.
During his address, Shri R.P. Goyal, CMD, NHPC, shed light on the principles and accomplishments of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, describing him as an outstanding global leader and advocate for the empowerment of the masses and women. Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, emphasized Dr. Ambedkar’s pivotal role as the architect of the Indian constitution and also highlighted his contributions to water and river navigation policies in India. Shri R.K. Chaudhary, Director (Technical & Projects), NHPC, hailed Dr. Ambedkar as a distinguished scholar and social reformer, underscoring his significant role in shaping modern India.
The program also featured a screening of a short film showcasing the remarkable life and achievements of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, further honoring his enduring legacy.
