New Delhi, May 21, 2024: In a bid to promote cleanliness and hygiene, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) launched a nationwide cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 campaign. The initiative, spearheaded by top brass including CMD Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Personnel) Shri Uttam Lal, and Director (Technical & Projects) Shri R.K. Chaudhary, witnessed a massive turnout of employees and local residents at the historic Mughal Bridge in Faridabad.
The Shramdaan programme, held on May 21, 2024, saw participants enthusiastically pitching in to clean the monument, setting a sterling example for others to emulate. This drive is part of NHPC’s comprehensive Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 observance, spanning from May 16 to 31, 2024, in accordance with government guidelines.
Throughout this period, NHPC is undertaking a range of activities across its locations, including awareness campaigns, tree plantations, cultural events, and distribution of cleaning kits and sanitary pads. The corporation is also promoting hygiene awareness and hosting art competitions to engage the community in this noble initiative.
