Rishikesh, April 26, 2024: THDC India Limited (THDCIL) and SJVN Foundation have forged a groundbreaking partnership aimed at revolutionizing Water Sports Development in India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two entities sets the stage for establishing the THDCIL High-Performance Academy at Tehri Power Complex, Uttarakhand.
This initiative underscores THDCIL’s commitment to not only provide uninterrupted power to the nation but also to promote sports development.
The academy, supported by SJVN Foundation’s financial contribution of Rs 1.00 Crore, will boast a state-of-the-art Advanced Gymnasium, fostering talent and excellence in Kayaking and Canoeing on both national and international stages.
