HUDCO and SITCO Ink MoU for Surat’s Multi-Modal Transportation Hub

In a move set to redefine urban infrastructure, the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO), a prestigious Navratna CPSE operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, sealed a momentous deal with the Surat Integrated Transportation Development Corporation Limited (SITCO).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), a testament to their commitment to sustainable progress, was formalized on May 9th, 2024, at the esteemed HUDCO Bhawan in New Delhi.
At the helm of this historic agreement were Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, the esteemed Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of HUDCO, and Shri Manoj Garg, the Managing Director (MD) of SITCO. Their signatures, witnessed by dignitaries from the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) and HUDCO, mark the initiation of a partnership aimed at harnessing synergies for the establishment and enhancement of Surat’s Multi-Modal Transportation Hub.
This ambitious project will unfold on lands earmarked by the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Gujarat.
