NHPC’s 500 MW Dugar HE Project releases 1st installment of Local Area Development Fund (LADF) amounting to Rs 14.95 Crore to Himachal Pradesh Government
NHPC’s 500 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project (Himachal Pradesh) has released the 1st installment of Local Area Development Fund (LADF) amounting to Rs 14.95 Crore to Himachal Pradesh State Government. This fund will help in ushering a new beginning of development activities in the remotely located Pangi Tehsil of Himachal Pradesh.
The agreement for implementation of Dugar Hydroelectric Project was signed between Govt. of Himachal Pradesh and NHPC on 26th August 2022. The Project is a run of the river scheme along the river Chenab in Pangi valley. It is located in Luj Village, Killar town in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The project has a Design Energy of generating 1759.85 Million Units of Energy in a 90% dependable year.
