Donation of a State-of-the-art Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ambulance to The Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi by SBI.
New Delhi November 21, 2022: State Bank of India (SBI) has donated a State-of-the-art Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ambulance to the Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, under its Corporate Social Responsibility program. Shri Kalpesh K. Avasia, Chief General Manager of New Delhi Circle, handed over the vehicle today to Surgeon Vice Admiral Rajat Datta, Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services at the Army Hospital (R&R), New Delhi campus.
The Army Hospital (R&R) is the apex flagship medical care center for the armed forces of India. The hospital also includes a teaching hospital and a nursing college. The ambulance is unique as it has a modular cardiac defibrillator enabled for shock discharge to wet patients with remote monitoring and works as a Mobile Emergency Care “Workplace” fitted with air suspended fully automatic platform for the patient stretcher with zero jerk. The mobile medical unit also has a world-class digital onboard oxygen system, key-free mechanically latched furniture consoles, and screw-free interiors offering hospital-grade hygiene and cleanliness. It is the first of its kind of ambulance in defense services.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Avasia said, “At SBI, we are proud to be closely associated with the Armed Forces and today it gives us immense pleasure to provide a State-of-the-art Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ambulance to this Hospital. He also said that this ambulance works as a virtual ICU and will help in providing timely treatment of patients. He thanked Army Hospital for giving the Bank this opportunity.
The function was also attended by Air Marshal Prashant Bharadwaj, Director of General Medical Services (Air), Lt.Gen. A K Jindal, Commandant, Army Hospital (R & R), Lt. Gen Daljit Singh, Director of General Medical Services (Army) alongwith various dignitaries of Armed Forces Medical Services.
From SBI, Shri A.S. Paul, General Manager, and Shri Onkar Nath Choudhary, Dy. The General Manager and staff of Moti Bagh branch were present on the occasion.
