THDC in nation’s development specifically in power sector like wind-Vishnoi
75th Independence Day celebrated at THDC India Limited
Rishikesh- : THDC India Limited celebrated 75th Independence Day at the corporate office Rishikesh, Projects and Unit offices. Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director hoisted the national flag and addressed the employees.
Sh. Vishnoi while addressing the employees, stressed upon the importance and history of Independence Day. He also underlined the role played by THDC in nation’s development specifically in power sector like wind, solar and hydropower sector. On this occasion, Sh. Vijay Goel, Director(Personnel), Sh. J. Behera, Director(Finance), Sh. B. P. Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer, Sh. Veer Singh, GM (HR & Admin)and other officials were also present.
On this occasion, students of THDC High School participated in the race under ‘Fit India Freedom Run 2.0’ which was flagged off by the Chairman and Managing Directorto celebrate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” as per the call of Government of India.
Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan & 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
