Govt. of India has accorded In-Principle Approval to Set Up 800 MW Solar Park at Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh

Rishikesh-:Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India has accorded In-Principle approval to TUSCO Limited (A Joint Venture of THDC India Limited and UPNEDA) to set up 800 MW Solar Park at Chitrakoot, in the State of Uttar Pradesh under UMREPP mode of Solar Park Scheme of Government of India.

It is to mention that TUSCO Limited, a Joint Venture of THDC India Limited and Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of setting up Solar Power Parks in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier also TUSCO Limited has been awarded In-Principle approval to set up 02nos of 600 MW Solar Power Park each in Jhansi and Lalitpur Districts of Uttar Pradesh.

In totality, TUSCO Limited has been accorded In-Principle approval to set up solar parks of 2000 MW in the Jhansi, Lalitpur and Chitrakoot districts of Uttar Pradesh. This initiative will boost the overall target of Govt. of India to enhance Renewable Energy Generation Capacity Addition Plan. The work in Lalitpur and Jhansi Solar Park is in advance stage of implementation.
