New Delhi: The 66th Bank Day of State Bank of India was commemorated by New Delhi Circle on 1st July 2021, with emphasis on Social Service, Environment, Health and Digital Banking. Shri Vijuy Ronjan, Chief General Manager (CGM), New Delhi Circle participated and launched various programmes on Bank Day, the day commenced with Pledge by all the staff to make SBI the bank of first choice for everybody.
Shri Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI launched the campaign I am the “I” in SBI pan India. Shri Challa Srinivasulu Setty, Managing Director (R & DB) launched Current Account Service Points at 39 Branches in New Delhi Circle. Current Account Service Points will be manned by dedicated Relationship Managers. They will ensure quality services to all Current Account Customers.
Further, under staff welfare activities several programmes were inaugurated by Shri Vijuy Ronjan, Chief General Manager, New Delhi Circle i.e. Library Management System, “Navodayam” Magazine, Creativity Corner, Painting and Drawing competition and felicitation of Banks’ Doctors and Dispensary’s staff.Under Community Services, Shri. Ronjan along with Staff members planted saplings at the premises of Local Head Office at Parliament Street and tree plantation programmes were organized at different branches. Bank also provided 50 renewed Computers to three schools run by NGOs for education of under privileged children and clothes collected from bank staff members were also handed over to the needy people through an NGO. 19 Oxygen Concentrator donated to different government hospitals at Dehradun, Meerut, Agra, Haldwani and Gurgaon. One lac pair examination gloves and 2000 disposable bed sheets were donated to Hindu Rao Hospital for Corona patients. 10 Multipara Monitors and 10 Oxygen Cylinders were also donated to government hospital, Meerut.
Later in the evening, Bank day cultural programs were conducted over online platform with participation from staff members from different locations of the Circle. Shri Ronjan, Chief General Manager (CGM), New Delhi Circle virtually addressed the staff and highlighted the bank’s significant contribution to the economy of the country and emphasized the values of SBI’s corporate values – Service, Transparency, Ethics, Politeness and Sustainability to improve the customer banking experience to the employees through their inspiring message. Shri Ronjan also reiterated guiding principles given by Chairman of the Bank, Shri Dinesh Khara, to provide good customer service to the staff and emphasized on its compliance along with the pledge to passionately guard the glory of SBI and take personal responsibility for sustaining SBI’s position as leader and pioneer in financial services.
