SBI DONATED RTPCR COVID-19 TESTING MACHINE TO GB PANT HOSPITAL
X-RAY MACHINE AND TWO PATIENT MONITORS TO DEEN DAYAL UPADHAYA HOSPITAL, NEW DELHI
New Delhi: 1 Under the guidance of Shri Vijuy Ronjan, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, New Delhi Circle, today donated a Lab Testing Machine KF Duo Prime RNA Extraction System costing Rs.16,52,000/- to GB Pant Hospital and X-Ray Machine along with two Patients’ Monitors costing Rs.9,96,413/- to Deen Dayal Upadhaya Hospital, New Delhi. The amount spent on its expenditure was provided by SBI Foundation through corporate social responsibility under the initiative called “Streedhan”, wherein the contributions were made by Spouses of SBI Staff/ladies of SBI family to SBI Foundation. To mark the occasion, Director Professor & HOD of Microbiology, Dr. Poonam Loomba and Dr. (Professor) Girish MP from G B Pant Hospital and Dr. M.P. Chaurasia, CMO, Department of Medicine, DDU hospital were present. Shri Ronjan informed that in the past Bank had distributed Ventilators, PPE Kits, Hand Sanitizer Machines and patients’ dresses to Hospitals. And donated masks, gloves, sanitisers etc. to Health Workers to fight Corona Virus. Further, SBI will continue to provide such support to hospitals in future also. Shri Abhay K. Pandey, General Manager (Network-I), Shri Prabhat Kumar Mishra, General Manager (Network-II), Shri Shriram P. Iyer, General Manager (Network-V), New Delhi Circle and other senior officials of the Bank were also present in the function.
Shri Ronjan handed over replicas of both machines to Dr. Poonam Loomba, Director Professor & HOD of Microbiology, G B Pant Hospital and Dr. M.P. Chaurasia, CMO, Department of Medicine, DDU hospital in a small gathering at Bank’s Local Head Office, New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Poonam Loomba and Dr. M.P. Chaurasia, CMO, Department of Medicine, DDU hospital while acknowledging gesture of SBI, expressed thanks and signified that this machine would give quick results of COVID Tests and said that such cooperation of the State Bank of India at the time of the pandemic is very commendable.
