10,000 MW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park MOU signs by NHPC REL with Govt. of Rajasthan

NHPC Renewable Energy Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of NHPC Limited) has signed MOU with Govt. of Rajasthan on 24.08.2022 for “Development of 10,000 MW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in the State of Rajasthan.” The MOU was signed by Shri Bhaskar A. Sawant, Principal Secretary, Energy Deptt., Govt. of Rajasthan & Shri Biswajit Basu, Chairman, NHPC REL at New Delhi in presence of Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot.

Smt. Shakuntla Rawat, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Industry, State Enterprises, Devasthan Department, Govt. of Rajasthan and Shri Rajiv Arora, Chairman, The Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation Limited, Govt. of Rajasthan graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Mrs. Usha Sharma, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan, Mrs. Veenu Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Rajasthan & Shri Om Prakash Kasera, Commissioner, Bureau of Investment Promotion, Govt. of Rajasthan were also present on the occasion.

The recently formed wholly owned subsidiary of NHPC Limited, NHPC REL is expanding its Renewable Energy portfolio. With signing of this MOU, NHPC REL shall start a new beginning with the support of Govt. of Rajasthan to develop 10,000 MW Renewable energy Parks/Projects in the State of Rajasthan by optimum utilization of resources & knowledge base of both Parties.
