Powergrid Approves ₹131.68 Crore Investment for Cutting-Edge National Unified Network Management System

Gurugram, June 10, 2025: Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has taken a significant step toward modernizing India’s power transmission infrastructure. The company’s ‘Committee of Directors on Investment on Projects’ approved a ₹131.68 crore proposal on June 10, 2025, for the implementation of the National Unified Network Management System (N-UNMS). Designed in main and backup configurations, the system will integrate all regional UNMSs. The project is slated for commissioning within 24 months from the project allocation date, by February 23, 2027.
