Petronet LNG Reports Record Nine-Month Performance

New Delhi: Petronet LNG Ltd has announced its highest-ever financial and operational performance for the nine months ending December 31, 2024. The company reported a record Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹3,829 crore and Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹2,856 crore during the period, surpassing its previous best of ₹3,761 crore and ₹2,799 crore, respectively, in the same period last year.

Operationally, Petronet achieved its highest-ever total volume throughput of 729 TBTU, a 6% growth compared to 685 TBTU in the corresponding nine months of 2023. The Dahej Terminal contributed significantly to this achievement by processing 686 TBTU, also marking its highest-ever throughput. The Kochi Terminal recorded its best performance to date, with a throughput of 43 TBTU.

For the quarter ending December 31, 2024, the company processed 228 TBTU of LNG, slightly lower than 232 TBTU during the same quarter last year. Financially, the quarter’s PBT stood at ₹1,169 crore, while PAT was ₹867 crore, compared to ₹1,191 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2023.
