PESB Confirms NewsIP Report, Shortlists 12 Candidates for ONGC Director (Exploration) Post; Interviews Set for April 17

In a notable development, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has confirmed the news first reported by NewsIP, stamping its authenticity by officially releasing the list of shortlisted candidates for the prestigious post of Director (Exploration) at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

The interview is scheduled to take place on 17th April 2025, between 09:00 AM and 11:00 AM, and will be conducted through video conferencing.

A total of 12 senior executives from ONGC, ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), and Oil India Limited (OIL) have been shortlisted. The candidates called for the final round are:

2. Shri Ajay Ratan – Executive Director, ONGC (ONCG Nominee at Pawan Hans)
3. Shri Tarun Kumar Mathuria – Group General Manager & Basin Manager, ONGC, Assam
4. Shri Prabhakar Thakur – Chief General Manager,  DGH
5. Shri Ashwani Kumar Walia – Group General Manager, Block Manager-A&AFB, ONGC Silchar
6. Shri Vikas Mohan – Chief General Manager, Chief Geophysical Services, ONGC
7. Smt. Anupma Baveja – Chief General Manager, Head – Exploration & Development, ONGC Videsh Ltd.
8. Shri K. Karvannan – Chief General Manager, Basin Manager, KG-PG Basin, ONGC
9. Shri Dinesh Singh – Chief General Manager, Corporate Strategy, ONGC
10. Shri Awadhesh Prasad – Chief General Manager (Reservoir), ONGC
11. Shri Anup Kumar – Chief General Manager (Geophysics), Oil India Ltd.
12. Shri Dharam Singh Manral – Chief General Manager (Directorate), Oil India Ltd.
