Passengers Report Inconvenience in AC First Class Coach of Train 11841

THE NEWSIP: March 4, 2025 | Chhatarpur | Concerns regarding passenger comfort and service standards have been raised following an incident on train number 11841, operating from Khajuraho to Faridabad, where travelers in AC First Class reported obstructions in the washroom area.
According to passengers Abhay Kumar Singh and Sudha Singh, who were traveling in Cabin A, Berths 1 and 3, the washroom entrances in their coach were found to be blocked by several pieces of baggage after departure from Chhatarpur station. As a result, access to both washrooms was reportedly restricted for a period of time.
Photographs provided by the passengers appear to show luggage stored in the washroom space, raising questions about onboard protocols. It was conveyed that the matter was brought to the attention of the Traveling Ticket Examiner (TTE) assigned to the coach. However, as per the passengers’ account, the issue remained unresolved at the time, and dissatisfaction was expressed regarding the handling of the situation.
It was further noted by the passengers that a senior railway official, identified as the Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Sr. DME), was also present in the same coach during the journey from Chhatarpur to Jhansi. However, no intervention was observed, according to those on board.
In their communication, the passengers have expressed concerns that if such conditions are being experienced in premium classes like AC First Class, there may be a need to assess the situation in other classes as well.
The matter has since been shared on social media and brought to the notice of the Railway Minister through a public post. An official response from railway authorities was awaited at the time of reporting.
Passengers have requested that necessary steps be taken to ensure that such instances are avoided in the future and that established guidelines regarding passenger comfort and safety are strictly followed.
Railway authorities are expected to look into the matter to ascertain the facts and take appropriate action, if required, in accordance with railway regulations.
