Is Oil & Gas Sector a case of Have Money will Travel

New Delhi: 18, Sep.2024: Top Level Sources of NewsIP reveal that IOCL’s review meeting will be held on the 21st of this month in Chennai. This meeting will include the Chairman of Indian Oil with the Petroleum Secretary presiding. This meeting is particularly significant as it will be the first meeting after Mr. V. Satish has taken over the additional charge as IOCL’s CMD. Mr. V. Satish, who previously served as Director (Marketing), is also a candidate for the position of Chairman IOCL.

Under the leadership of Mr Satish, IOCL has initiated several efforts to promote innovation and clean energy solutions. He has carried the functioning of the Marketing Division with great aplomb and is known for his go getting attitude. The meeting is expected to discuss IOCL’s progress and future plans. But the meeting also has several other key issues hidden in its deep visage.

NewsIP wants to remind it’s readers that the result of the interview conducted by the Search cum Selection Committee for the position of IOCL’s Chairman has not yet been declared. According to some recent media reports, CPCL’s erstwhile MD Mr. Arvind G. has also been mentioned in discussions as a potential candidate for IOCL’s new CMD. Does the city of Chennai itself hold any significance? Both the Secretary and Mr Satish are based in Delhi then why Chennai has been chosen?

Ostensibly there are several Key possible discussion points of the meeting:
– IOCL’s progress and future plans
– Clean energy solutions and innovation
– Informal discussions on Results of the Chairman position interview
– _RAW On IOCL by Secretary- Review & Wherewithal of IOCL by the highest Bureaucrat of Oil & Gas with several far-reaching consequences.
What is most puzzling for Oil Experts and Common Citizens alike is the intrigues and hush-hush behind-the-scenes maneuvering going on regarding the selection of IOCL Chairman. It’s singularly unique and there is some stink already emanating. The only hope is that all this Manthan should produce some Amrit and not wholesale Vish.
