NTPC’s Top Post in Play: All Eyes on ..

By Z A Ansari: New Delhi. A major development has shaken up the Indian energy sector. The selection process for the coveted position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NTPC Limited, the country’s largest thermal power producer, has officially moved forward. Sources confirm that the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has given the green light to conduct interviews on May 21, 2025, for the shortlisted candidates.

Industry watchers are keenly observing whether the selection panel will pick a new leader from the current list or if the entire panel will be scrapped and the ball passed to the Search-cum-Selection Committee, potentially altering the trajectory of the appointment process.
