NTPC MSE Vendor Meet for Women Entrepreneurs

NTPC MSME Cell organised a Special vendor meet, exclusively for “MSEs owned by SC/ST & Women Entrepreneurs”on 26thJuly 2019. The Vendor meet provided an effective confluence for the sellers (MSEs), buyer (NTPC Limited) and Policy makers. 200 MSEs, representing both service providers and manufacturers participated. Shri Vijay Kumar, Director MSME-DI New Delhi was the Chief Guest and Shri A.K. Juneja ED (CC&M), NTPC Chaired the meet.In his key note address, Shri Juneja lauded the contribution of the MSEs to the GDP, exports & employment generation in the country. He highlighted the achievements of NTPC in supporting the MSE Ecosystem and articulated expectations of NTPC Limited from MSEs for providing Right products/services at the Right time and at the Right price.
Shri Vijay Kumar, Director MSME-DI touched upon various impetus provided by the GOI, especially for MSEs owned by SC/ST & Women Entrepreneurs and exhorted them to upscale their businesses to meet the requirements of discerning buyers like NTPC Limited. Representative from National SC & ST Hub, NSIC explained in detail about various schemes of GOI to strengthen the MSE SC/ST ecosystem.
Presentations were made by NTPC MSME Cell, Coal Mining, Renewal Energy and Ash utilisation departments, explaining the current business potential and a glimpse of the future potential.
Office bearers of World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) & Dr.Ambedkar Co-operative Federation (DACF) participated and shared their expectations.
Technical presentations on TReDS, GeM, NTPC e-procurement system, vendor invoice tracking, single point enlistment and MSE Registration functionalities and concept of Shared Services Centres were also made.
Help desks for on the spot registrations of MSEs on TReDS and GeM were provided.
Officials from MSME, NSIC and NTPC interacted with the MSEs and addressed the queries.
