NTPC Activates 193 MW at Nokh Solar Project, Strengthening India’s Clean Energy Momentum

Jaisalmer, June 9, 2025 – NTPC Limited, India’s leading state-owned power giant, has launched commercial operations for 193 MW of its 245 MW Plot-3 capacity at the Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan.

This milestone elevates NTPC’s standalone installed capacity to 59,606 MW and its group capacity to 80,708 MW, solidifying its dominance in India’s renewable energy sector.

Situated in Jaisalmer, the Nokh Solar PV Project (3×245 MW) is a key pillar of NTPC’s green energy strategy, supporting India’s goal of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. Utilizing advanced bifacial mono-PERC modules compliant with Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) standards, the project promotes sustainable energy and domestic manufacturing.

The commissioning follows the successful activation of the first 245 MW block in March 2025, showcasing NTPC’s rapid progress in scaling renewable infrastructure.
