NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company and a ‘Mini Ratna’ Category-I Enterprise of the Government of India commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2021 themed ‘Independent India@75:Self Reliance with Integrity’ from 26th October to 1st November 2021 at Corporate Office, Faridabad and its various power stations/ projects/ regional offices and field units on 26th October 2021.
The programme began with reading out messages from Hon’ble President of India, Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and Central Vigilance Commissioner on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week. Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC also administered the oath of “Integrity Pledge” to the senior officers and employees at Corporate Office, Faridabad. Shri N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), Shri Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) and Shri A.K. Srivastava, CVO, NHPC alongwith other senior NHPC officers and employees. Speaking on the occasion Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC highlighted on the theme ‘Independent India@75:Self Reliance with Integrity’ and appealed all employees to follow all procedures and guidelines in order to ensure transparency and accountability. He further asked everyone to work harder with full integrity and ensure quick decision making which would lead to overall growth of NHPC and the nation as a whole.”
During the inaugural function, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC also released ‘Chetna’, the e-Magazine of the NHPC Vigilance Division. During the Vigilance Awareness Week 2021, NHPC shall be organizing activities such as quizzes, debates, essay writing, poetry competitions etc. for its employees and their family members at Corporate Office and also across all it locations. The competitions shall be conducted on online platform keeping in view the ongoing Covid – 19 pandemic.
