NHPC engineers and officers are committed and dedicated at their work-CMD

A lecture-cum-exposure visit to Corporate Office of NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower organization was hosted by Training & HRD Division of NHPC in NHPC Limited, Faridabad for participants of ‘46th Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration’ being organised by the prestigious Indian Institute of Public Administration on 12 January 2021. Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC was the Chief Guest for the programme. Shri Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) and Shri Avinash Kumar, Executive Director (HRD) were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers. While addressing the participants, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC informed about the various challenging conditions being faced by NHPC on a day-today basis while executing its projects. He said that NHPC engineers and officers are just like soldiers of the defence forces who may not be carrying weapons but are equally in the remotest corners of the country.
During the programme, the participants were given a deep insight into NHPC’s activities in hydropower development and its diversification into renewable energy. The participants were informed about Operation and Maintenance Aspects of Power Stations, Environmental Initiatives, Digital Transformation Initiatives and CSR Initiatives of NHPC. The participants also visited the Operation and Control Room and IT Data Centre at NHPC Corporate Office.
