NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day with full patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on 15thAugust 2022. The celebration began with the hoisting of National flag by Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC and singing of National Anthem at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad. Shri Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) and Shri A.K. Srivastava, CVO were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers and employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC extended his greetings to the entire NHPC family and praised all NHPC employees for their hard work and commitment. Referring to the address of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Speech from Red Fort today wherein Hon’ble Prime Minister has stressed on the problem of corruption, CMD, NHPC asked all employees to fight against corruption in their daily activities. CMD, NHPC also spoke on the importance on hydropower in generating clean and green energy and highlighted the overall socio-economic development of local areas which is ushered in by construction of hydropower projects.
On this occasion, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC also presented Certificates of Appreciation to Paramedical staff, Security personnel and Housekeeping Staff for outstanding performance in their duties.
