NHPC Participants Shine at National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024

“NHPC has been associated very closely with the Painting Competition on Energy Conservation held under the aegis of BEE, Ministry of Power. I congratulate the winners for their exceptional talent and artistic skills in conveying the message of energy conservation,” said Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC.

Ms. Jigmet Zangdon and Ms. Akriti Sharma, participants from regions assigned to NHPC, were honored with the *‘Appreciation Prize’* in the Group ‘A’ category of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024. The awards were presented by Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power, during the National Energy Conservation Day event held in New Delhi on December 14, 2024.

The competition, organized at the State/UT level by NHPC in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Arunachal Pradesh, showcased the exceptional creativity and awareness of young talents. Ms. Zangdon, a Class V student from Ladakh Public School, Leh, and Ms. Sharma, a Class VII student from Army Public School, Samba, stood out for their impactful artwork promoting energy conservation.

Their achievement underscores NHPC’s commitment to fostering environmental awareness and supporting the Ministry of Power’s initiatives to inspire the younger generation toward sustainable practices.
