NHPC Observes ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2024
India's Premier Hydropower Company Commits to Cleanliness and Hygiene
New Delhi, May 16, 2024: NHPC, India’s leading hydropower company, has embarked on a nationwide cleanliness drive, ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2024’, at its Corporate Office and all Regional Offices, Projects, and Power Stations across the country.
This initiative, observed from May 16th to 31st, 2024, aligns with the Government of India’s guidelines.
*Leadership Pledge*
Shri R.P. Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC, along with Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), and Shri R.K. Chaudhary, Director (Technical & Projects), administered the ‘Swachhta Pledge’ to all NHPC employees on May 16th, 2024. This pledge reinforces the company’s commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
*Activities Galore*
During this Pakhwada, NHPC will organize a range of activities, including:
– Cleanliness awareness programs
– Tree and sapling plantation
– Skit presentations
– Cleaning kit and sanitary pad distribution
– Awareness programs on hygiene
– Drawing and painting competitions
These activities will be held across all NHPC locations, engaging employees and promoting a culture of cleanliness and sustainability.
