NHPC Marks World Environment Day 2025 with Robust Sustainability Push

Faridabad, June 5, 2025 – NHPC Limited, a Navratna Enterprise of the Government of India, celebrated World Environment Day with fervor across its Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Power Stations, Projects, and Units, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and clean energy. The day’s highlight was a plantation program held at the NHPC Residential Complex in Faridabad, where saplings of fruit-bearing trees were planted by Shri R.K. Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), alongside Directors Shri R.P. Goyal (Finance), Shri Uttam Lal (Personnel), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh (Projects), and Shri Suprakash Adhikari (Technical), joined by other senior officers.

The celebrations saw the NHPC Sustainability Report and a booklet on Environmental Policies being released by the CMD and Directors, underscoring the organization’s dedication to sustainable development and green innovation. These documents outline NHPC’s strategic roadmap to optimize natural resource use through state-of-the-art technologies while advancing clean power generation aligned with global standards.
