NHDC organizes State level painting competitions on Energy Conservation.

Winners award up to Rs 50,000

Bhopal: State-level painting competition was organized by NHDC Limited in collaboration with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE),  Competition was organized in two categories. Class “A” (for students of classes 5, 6 and 7) and category “B” (for students of classes 8, 9 and 10). The theme for the state-level painting competition was (1) We are Pro Planet People (2) Circular Economy – Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.
In the ceremony organized at Rabindra Bhavan, His Excellency the Governor gave the first prize of Rs. 50,000/-, the second prize Rs. 30,000/-, the Third Prize Rs. 20,000/- and 10 consolation prizes of Rs. 7,500/- in each category A & B in the presence of Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Managing Director, NHDC. In his address, His Excellency the Governor appreciated the efforts of NHDC for organizing such events to spread energy conservation awareness among the children of the state from student life itself. He also appealed to publicize and disseminate the importance of energy conservation.
Out of the best paintings sent by the schools of the state, 50-50 participants of each category were called to Bhopal and the winners were selected at the state level by conducting a 2-hour on-the-spot painting competition in Bhopal. All the participants were given Rs. 2,000/- participation amount.
The first, second and third winners of both categories will participate as representatives of the state in the National Painting Competition to be held on 12th December 2022. NHDC is the state’s leading hydropower generation company and its two running projects are located in the Khandwa district of the state 100 per cent of the power generated from it is given to Madhya Pradesh. NHDC is now moving towards making the state a leader in the development of solar energy.
