Manohar Lal Lays Stone for Siddharthnagar Auditorium, Backed by REC’s ₹7.02 Cr CSR Fund

Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh, May 30, 2025: A modern 1000-seater Community Auditorium, set to redefine cultural vibrancy, was initiated with its foundation stone laid by Shri Manohar Lal, Minister of Power and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The project, jointly funded by REC Limited, PFC, and NTPC, is being supported with ₹7.02 crore from REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU and leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The ceremony was attended by REC Limited’s Executive Director (CSR), senior officials, and local residents, who voiced enthusiasm for the auditorium’s potential to elevate the district’s cultural infrastructure. The event highlighted a shared commitment to community development and regional growth.
The 1000-seater auditorium, designed as a hub for cultural programs, educational events, and community gatherings, is slated for completion within a set timeframe. This milestone is expected to bolster Siddharthnagar’s artistic and inclusive community landscape, aligning with sustainable development objectives.
A ₹7.02 crore investment has been committed by REC Limited to ensure the development of this state-of-the-art facility, reinforcing its role as a driver of social impact and cultural excellence in Siddharthnagar.
