Innovative Exercise in leading Oil & Gas Major
Pipelines Division of IOCL now to be headed by an Executive Director.

New Delhi: Shailesh Tiwari has been redesignated as Executive Director In-Charge at Indian Oil Pipelines Division New Delhi. Shailesh Tiwari had been discharging duties as Executive Director and Regional Head of the Northern Region Pipelines (NRPL), Panipat. Many would see the move as a tactical elevation and a pivotal leadership transition. However it’s still unclear whether the filling of the Board Level position of Director Pipeline for which due process was to be initiated is being kept in abeyance or some other dispensation will be made. NewsIP is given to understand that the process for selection of Director Marketing is already on.
Interestingly, according to the internal order, Tiwari is to report directly to the Director (Pipelines). Incidentally, the incumbent in the Director (Pipelines) position, Senthil Kumar N, to whom Tiwari is required to report, was to superannuate on 30.6.2025.
There is then the MoPNG order which states that Shri Arvind Kumar , Director Refineries is entrusted with additional charge of Director Pipelines for a period of three months or till appointment of regular incumbent. Experts have noted that the process for engaging new Director Marketing is already on while Director Pipelines vacancy was also known, but nothing further has been done. These experts state can have far reaching business implications in the Oil Major.
